Very hard to judge signings individually
It’s about what the squad would look like as a whole.
Not sure I’d be massively enthused by a strike force of Sargent, barnes and Idah. But maybe if Sargent is leaving and we’re signing another new striker?
Certainly we need some players like barnes, in style and personality. Age is a concern.
Who would be a younger version? Bradshaw at Millwall? I’d probably rather have barnes on a free, but back to my original point, whether he’s a good signing or not is hard to judge without knowing what the rest of the squad will look like.
