I'm meant to be traveling Portsmouth to St Malo tonight

But I only discovered yesterday that passports have to have a full 3 months validity from date of return to be allowed in. Family of 5, my son's was valid but for not that long. Checked it ages ago, saw the dates and assumed that meant it was fine!
