Well that depends on a number of factors

Charges, choice of funds, and whether you have any guarantees or enhancements.
Work pensions tend to have low charges, but also limited choice in terms of where you invest.
Also the value of your plans will determine whether it’s worth seeking advice or not - £5-10k in an old pension isn’t cost effective for any potential improvements you could see.
Larger amounts obviously could be more than worth seeking guidance.
And ALWAYS seek independent advice, your SJPs of this world only sell their own funds.
