I think we'd need more than that but i'd agree with your basic point. I can only think of

a handful of goals that we've conceded this season that have not been down to (at least in part) our horrific defending.

I know that there is often some less than ideal defending involved in most goals but in our case its unbelievable stuff. Players running into each other going for the same ball, just passing it straight to the opposition 30 yards from our own goal or just not marking them at all at set pieces (watch that second goal from saturday, he doesn't lose his marker he never has one). If we can find defenders that make less errors it will make a huge difference.
