With the poor comms.

When he gave the interview about his laissez faire management approach, but explained it so badly was when I really became concerned.

I'm quite a fan of that style, but the comms needs to be razor sharp, so your team know what their roles are.

Suddenly the confusion on the pitch looked a bit more understandable.
