20k a week - that's fairly decent business these days isn't it?!
I think I recently read that last season the average Championship salary was 35k per week, so that's not bad at all.
Of course the real risk we took was his injury, but that was probably also factored in to the amount Newcastle wanted us to pay.
What is Hugill earning? I'd suggest he has been a far greater waste of money than Hayden. Technically possibly Byram as well although he has done a good job when he has been fit and has also often coincided his rare moments of fitness with injury crises in the rest of the squad so has done some important cover work in his time.
