It looks to me like Smith coached out all the footballing tactical nous
from our squad. Farkes team could turn teams inside out with sweet passing and moving, and this team can barely get into the second third let alone the last.
However, if a really good manager came in they could change it round in 3-4 games. If this appointment is blown however then we are in big trouble i fear.
Players have no idea what they are doing. 4231 seems the obvious move to restore the players faith. Someone needs to get them fit too, which goes alongside motivation - they were not playing for Smith and it was pretty obvious.
I would go for KK with this in mind....an unknown manager with a new broom and new ideas is probably the thing that wil save us. Looks like Wagner....i have my doubts there given recent record. But fingers crossed.
Given the opportunity he had Smith maybe one of the most damaging managers we ever had as a club.
