The adverse reaction thing is an interesting one.

The biggest impact seems to have been statistically, weirdly, on appendicitis. Not really clear what the mechanism might be that would cause that, but could be an anomaly, in view of the very small numbers involved.

On the tie in to long covid, there's a real tricky job trying to pin down exactly what long covid is, what mechanism causes it and why it impacts some more than others.

A close family member of mine has long covid, from getting covid, not from the vaccine.

The current research suggests that the most likely trigger is the spike protein, so, you'd likely have had the same issues (actually, much more likely worse, due to length and duration of exposure) when you caught/catch covid.

My ex had an interesting juggle with her immunosuppression meds when she got the jabs - the interplay of many factors involved in it all.

Main thing I was coming by to say, was that if you had an adverse reaction to the vaccine, the likely impact of any infection would have almost certainly been worse. There's not a simple equivalence in the decision making on it all.
