said it was an example of the sort of blocking and grappling at corners and free kicks that should be penalised.

So it wasn't actually Maguire doing the holding but I guess the concern is that it planst the seed in the mind of refs that England (and Maguire) are often involved in this sort of thing at set pieces.

However given the aim at this world cup seems to be to stamp out players grabbing and obstructing each other at set pieces it seems even more bizarre that we were not given a penalty.
