Discussion e.g. shall we play type a or shall we play type b and Deano is happy with both or wants to play type b so steers them that way that’s ok. That’s encouraging them to take responsibility and hopefully they will on the pitch. Or he says how shall we play and discusses it with them but ultimately has the final say, again I think that’s ok.

That said, just f**king tell them. Cuts out any margin for error.
