Welcome to long covid

Turns out that printing money, spending money, borrowing money, spending money, anchoring interest rates at rock bottom for years, hoping to rely forever on an endless supply of cheap foreign labour and cheap foreign goods, isn't a particularly sustainable way to operate an economy (not to mention closing said economy for the best part of 2 years).

Good job "it's only the economy" I suppose.
