The problem with Dowell is the same as with the other attacking players

he looked great at times playing alongside Buendia, but hasn't shown anything like that form since we sold Buendia.

It's not really surprising that everyone plays better alongside someone who constantly makes themselves available, who can receive the ball under heavy pressure, who consistently plays first time perfect passes, who routinely makes incredible assists etc...

The jury is out, imo, as to whether Dowell, Cantwell, Pukki, Aarons etc.. will ever again come close to the heights they reached playing alongside him.
