A slightly different perspective regarding West Brom....

I live (and have done for many years) on the fringes of the West Mids and many of my local friends are either Baggies or Wolves fans. Had a conversation last night, following the game with 3 West Brom fans. Proper supporters, the sort of people who will be on their equivalent of the Wrath.

The point is they were very jealous of us and our position in the League. They acknowledged they were outplaying teams but the issue for them was quite simply they were 4th bottom and have won just one game all season. Leaving aside the debate about our 'style', or lack of it for them the issue quite simply was we have a successful manager and they have SB. Much as though I assured them it would all come good for them (they are far far better than the League shows) they weren't having it. 4th from bottom was all that mattered - Bruce out!

And you know, as a supporter I fully understand their view. Remember the anger on here and polls about DS's future when we were bottom after three games. Many wanted him out there and then. Seven unbeaten games later (six of which we have won) we are still not happy, and you know what I understand that as well.

However, my point is from a Baggies perspective they are very jealous of us and as much as I reassure them they are a good team and it will soon come good, and we are not anything like as good as they seem to think they are not having it. Bottom line is they are 20th and we are 2nd. SB out....

From a City perspective the moaning on here is unbelievable. We are 2nd! Give it another 10 games and then make a more considered judgement.

Oh, and who on here really wants to go up to the Premiership and then be stuffed each and every week. I don't. Nor, for that matter do my Baggies mates. A conundrum as others have said.
