Dean Smith's pre-Bournemouth press conference begins at 9.15am this morning.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
DS: “Andrew had a sore ankle but saw the game out. We’ll nurse him back and won’t let him train until Thursday.
Other than that everyone came through the Millwall game okay.”
DS: “Byram trained over the weekend so I expect him to be in the line-up on Tuesday. Idah has trained and isn’t ready to start but can come on for minutes.”
DS: “Sara needs minutes and is starting to get better in training. He will put himself forward to play.”
DS: “Bournemouth will be a good test. They’ve had a tough start in the league. They have a good squad and a good manager.”
DS: “The players are starting to grasp what Alan (Russell) wants from them. We are improving, but we want to score goals.”
DS: “It’s always good to have homegrown players. It will help the football club go bring in young talent moving forwards.”
DS: (On Krul) “We are not looking to lose any players.”
DS: (On Josh Martin) “We are looking to get Josh a club.”
DS: “Todd’s enjoyable to have around and performing. He took it really well that I was shaking the team a bit on Friday. He came on and did well. I’m pleased with his attitude and application.”
---------------------------------------------------------------
That concludes Dean Smith’s press conference.
