And let's face it - he WAS a bit s**t for us. Is a great example of why there's no reason why Gilmour can't go on to be a superstar, but he certainly wasn't at that stage yet in his time with us and neither was Kane.

We have no idea whether Idah is going to get there or not. I sincerely hope so. But if put in the context of selling your iconic striker with the expectation that Idah can plug the gap, you'd have to understand the scepticism.

Hopefully Sarge can show consistently what he is capable of and go from strength to strength now. Remember he is also only a year older than Idah. If he can do that, and Idah can come back and show some of what he started to last season before the injury I think we are in good shape! But we do need that because Hugill is certainly not going to be the guy.

As for Idah in the Irish team I think he has been unfairly fast tracked into a very poor senior squad and consequently very difficult to live up to expectations.
