Adam Idah is not the answer and if we're relying on him we're f**ked
Honestly, I have no idea. Maybe that's true.
Worth considering though, that based on a quick look back, in the equivalent of the season just gone, when Harry Kane was approx 21, I think he might have played 10 times for Tottenham and scored 3 goals. Following a run of seasons where he didnt get a sniff, and went off on loan where he was, frankly, pretty disappointing. Granted the season after his 3 from 10, he bossed in 20+. But who on here looked at Harry Kane aged 19 and thought "that lad is going to end up being England/Premier League record goal scorer"? No, me neither.
All of which is say, maybe young Adam has capped out. Maybe he's nothing more than another Dean Coney. Maybe only a buffoon would rely on him in any way.
But I do see bags of potential in him. I think he has all the physical attributes, and he HAS shown has can be play in the Prem and be hard to handle, albeit for a vanishingly short window before he got injured. Maybe when he's fit, at Champs level....well, who knows. I also think the club screwed him last year. Maybe if he'd have been on loan in the Champs and bossed in 15 goals at Middlesboro, instead of wasting away here, we might be thinking about him a little different!
I'm personally looking forward to seeing him back.
