.... clear that it was Tommy Bryceland (unusually wearing number 11 not 8) who was replaced at some point during the game against Millwall by Duncan Forbes who was sub that day. Given that TB had missed the previous 9 games and would then miss the next 8 matches there is some logic to suggest he aggravated an existing injury but it was a long long time back so who knows?. Neil O'Donnell had temporarily replaced Tommy in the number 8 shirt during his absence. However, he himself was substituted in the next match against Oxford Utd (again this is according to the Canary Citizens book). Could there be confusion between the games? Has anyone got an archive copy of the Pink Un from 2nd November 1968!
