We're not getting the most out of an unbalanced squad

Which is heavy on attacking midfielders who we need to get to score more ,and light on water carrying midfielders and backup strikers.

It feels like the issue is deeper than just confidence - the team struggles to tick with the personnel we currently have, who have mostly been here for a while.

Feels a bit like the England test team under Root. New players come in, do alright for a bit and then fit into the same patterns as was happening before.

This isn't the same as giving a new set of tactics time to bed in.
