i thought the video missed the bull a bit tbf and didn't explore or offer help to that particular demographic other than a signpost linky at the end. "you may be surprised to learn that males between the ages of 45 to 49 have the highest suicide rate" but other than a link to the samaritans, 999 or a text there was no real assistance/help/guidance there.

If you transpose it onto another large life taker "car crashes" and you discover the highest rate of deaths from car crashes are young females between the ages of 18 and 22 (for arguments sake i f**kun dunno) you'd explore why this was and what steps could beb taken to reduce this number be they, restricted speed limits on engines, higher premiums with reductions for good driving habits via a black box, additional driving training etc etc. you wouldn't just brush it off with a if you are about to crash or likely to crash then ring the car crash helpline and talk to someone about it.

the video is however a good launching pad for a grown up proper arsed adult discussion about
(principally men's) mental health and how people can improve it or prevent it from reaching the darkest of endings.

so many different causes of mental health issues but there are also as many ways in which people can reach out and get help or even just talk with other people that have similar struggle about the issues that are causing them mental struggle or have professional training.

they can be as simple as exercise or just getting out and into nature to actively seeking professional assistance but the one thing i reckon a lot of grown arsed men do is try to cope with it and deal with it internally. so my good fellow arsed grown up men, if your worried about s**t, get help or reach out. i'm no expert by any means but if the video can help kick start the discussion and then that's a good thing. don't try and cope alone because if YOU. ARE. NOT. COPING then that isn't healthy my homies. peace out x
