"Not going to change views at state level in most of the pro-life states"

(a) I don't know if that's true. Lot of water under the bridge since 1970. But anyway (b) if it is true ... I mean, that's democracy isn't it? Given that they've set up their system to allow each state autonomy. So in Europe I think that Poland has pretty restrictive abortion laws. It isn't what I'd do, but for so long as the Poles elect governments on that basis, isn't it up to them? And if so, isn't the same true of eg Alabama?

This should be a political issue not a judge issue.
