Blockchain is one technology which could be used to facilitate it.

While you have myriad pathways to buy virtual tickets there will always be the chance for people to sell fake tickets, blockchain or not.

Blockchain would let you verify whether you had a legit ticket after you'd bought it, or allow the ticket sellers to track the path a ticket had taken post sale, but I struggle to see how it would avoid the problems if everything else remains the same.

Blockchain is just an elaborate digital receipt. Once you strip away all the 'woooo'
