I must have missed the under the bonnet comment

I'm not sure he would want to try and "get off the hook" tbh, he obviously knows the signings didn work and he has to analyse that and find a better way if there's a next promotion. It would be interesting tho to understand the thinking behind the signings and how he expected it to pan out and work. It's a shame he hasn't offered that insight but Its not a major issue for me.
