players and staff all gathered in the center circle and had to wait ages for the spurs players to stop celebrating and walk off the pitch. this seemed to take ages and was a bit embarrassing near the end. smith and a few others exchanged handshakes and hugs as they walked past.
then, and this is the bit i wanted to post, was that, smith lead the group out of the center circle towards the south stand and then walked toward the river end (he was basically going clockwise when viewed from the eye of a bird). this is a deviation from past years and i'm not sure i liked it.
