Macron vote slightly higher than expected
MLP share was to be expected, as the other far right candidates were deemed to have sailed to close to Russia since the war started.
2 huge shocks. The marxist Melanchon scored REALLY big. a very impressive late rally. his supporters dont like Macron at all, and there could be a lot of votes there for MLP.
The two *traditional* centre left / right parties pretty much died this evening. The Republicans got 5% (think tories) and the Socialist party got 1.8%. Dead as a dodo.
Still all to play for for me. Macron clearly favourite.
but after the mess he has made of France (yellow jackets and present cost of living problems) I'm really concerned about what happens next.
