And yes, the effect of our error strewn season is also combined with some proper apathy for the whole money grubbing, sportswashing circus.

Let's not rule out that this is me ex post rationalising a genuinely s**t season (would I be LOVING IT if we were 6/7 points better off?), but with how f**ked the modern game is, I've got over our impending relegation pretty quickly. If I'm being honest, will I really care if we end up not getting promoted next season? No doubt it will sting at the time (like defeats still sting this season), but again I think I'll get over it pretty quick.

Who here is REALLY excited about the thought of Newcastle spending £250m a season till they're playing champions league football every year, and the georgie nation are all waving their Saudi flags when they play PSG or who ever else? Fuck that, frankly.
