This is the point. They make these statements about standing aside if the right person comes along or "someone can have the club for nothing if they will put money in" but then people seem certain that they won't give up control to attract new investment.

Something has to give somewhere. 1 million shares at the current value would bring in £50m. That would have been very useful this season and is probably the difference between keeping Emi and not keeping Emi. Once you stay up for 2 or 3 seasons then the financial situation changes.
