He probably shouldn't have played, but it's down to him to say yea or nay - the coach can't make you if you say no!

As for the groin, that is always the risk with Ashton. He's a very big lad who grew quickly - he was massive at 17 or so, and all the stress on his back and legs at a young age means he will most likely always be prone to upper leg injuries.
