Remember the days clearly
'73 we were still getting used to mixing it with the big boys so could just about accept a 1-0 defeat. Pity Ralf Coates hair didn't flip over into his eyes as he took aim though.
'75 it was their front three of Hamilton, Little and Graydon running at our defence that we had difficulty coping with. Three great players of their day. Also of course they had Ron Saunders who wanted to put one over on his old club. So near yet so far. At the end I took off my Peaky Blinders green and white cap (popular bitd with a yellow peak) and threw it from the top of the away end like a Frisbee. It sailed through the air and circled a bit on it's way down towards the old running track and then a gust of wind send it right onto a blokes head and obviously made him bob down. He then stood up with it sitting perfectly on his noddle to great cheers. At that point I wanted it back.
