For me, this is over the line. Everyone knows that pets should be struck with a rolled up newspaper. The boy needs sending on a proper pet management course.

(For those subject to being whooshed, I don't think that. I love my cat, and I'm sure we all on here love our Tiddles, Fentons, tortoises and stick insects. Don't hit your pet. With anything. Ever.)
