Sadly, I think less
- Woy is a good appointment for Watford. They have a very streetwise squad that he can work with.
- Newcastle have basically used in the FM data file editor. Bloody cheats.
- Not only that, but I fear that the Newcastle giving Burnley 25m for Wood has led to them strengthening too.
- Brentford are faltering, but have so many more points on the board, I'm not sure we can catch them.
- Everton just need a small new manager bounce, and even if Fat Frank is rubbish thereafter, they're just too far ahead too.
I think I'm just coming round to the view that it's impossible to run a football club in a sustainable way and remain in the premier league, at least for a club of our size without commercial revenues from selling millions of shirts to fans in Addis Ababa. We simply don't have the depth of quality, and you need to spend 100s of millions to get it, which we will never have. Aside from the mega clubs, which are basically fashion brands these days, every other club is just losing money hand over fist as part of a billionaires vanity project. In short, the game (as we knew it) has gone.
I hope I'm wrong, and I think that with everyone back we will at least give it a good go, but I expect us to go down. Hopefully though, we'll go down with our heads held high.
