So now all that kerfuffle is over how are we now feeling about our chances of survival?
1) Less hopeful
2) Same as before
3) More hopeful
4) Mary option
I think I am a big number 2 heading towards a 3...I think there will be 4/5 teams in the mix for the rest of the season. Along with the points we picked up this month and players coming back (and Todd leaving) I can see us consistently picking up points against lower teams.
Newcastle have signed a lot of quality but they need to gel NOW and I can't see them all doing it.
Watford have signed a few early and had a chance to work with the Woy. He will get them conceding less but hopeful at the expense of scoring.
Burnley, had trouble scoring all season, hopefully that will continue as the big dutch lad finds it difficult to fit into the Dyche system.
Brentford, have signed Eriksson as a feel good signing trying to turn the mood in the camp as they have run out of steam and I can see that carrying on.
Everton, depends on how good FL really is. They made some good signings but their problems lay at the back rather than attacking but ultimately I think they will be safe.
There are few other teams that may get dragged in to it too, if the bottom teams collectively add a few points. Its the hope that kills but I think we will just miss out on staying up, although with a good enough team to have a good crack at coming straight back again.
