Cause and effect - I'd agree that footy is overpriced and too expensive

However I see pretty much no evidence that the owners have ripped money out of the club or profited from the considerable time and effort that they've put in during their tenure.

In fact I'd say it's really hard to argue that they wouldn't have been financially better off sticking to what they were doing beforehand.

You'd have to be a fool to go into football club ownership to make money (caveats around moving money around between countries or mortgaging a club up to the hilt and getting the fans to pay it off apply - but not here).
