I've just moved 12 months of emails to a folder named 2021
so currently at inbox zero.
Joking apart I read a neat idea that rather than trying to categorise email, something I've always rebelled against on the basis that what tags ok today might have a different thought process tomorrow, you should just have four folders - today, this week, this month, fyi, and each email gets moved into one dependent on urgency. Then you can do a run through at the end of the day/week and decide if there's any real action needed.
I've also found that most of my external emails are promotional, and most internal stuff is slack, so it's fairly easy to be brutal.
