+1 for Bosch or Miele

I have the entry level Bosch so get all the engineering and none of the bells and whistles I would never actually use. I tend to do everything on a 30 degree quick wash unless actually dirty (as opposed to just a bit sweaty etc) and it does the job just fine. So I’m saving a fair bit on leccy and water too I reckon. If the budget won’t stretch second hand always an option, in Nodge the big charideemate shops sometimes have white goods and often in really good nick. I furnished our entire 3-bed house from scratch from one of those for a few hundred quid.
