MHFA training is a real mixed bag

Having had a role in that field for near on two decades at my place of work I walked out of one (by a well regarded provider) in which they tried to have the attendees simulate 'auditory hallucination' (the person running it called it schizophrenia...) by having attendees whisper into each others ears through long cardboard tubes.*

There are a lot of well meaning people out there but scarily few well trained and a real hodge podge of providers.

*after feedback our HR dept went with a different, better, provider.
