Their 2020 excess deaths were their highest in around 100 years with a second wave deadlier than the first. While their Scandinavian neighbours got off lightly in comparison

I remember reading at the very start that Sweden were using our modelling data. We abandoned our plan because it was based on flu and the hospitalisations rocketed beyond what we’d imagined. Odd that in Sweden it’s the health authorities who decide on any restrictions, not the government although they did finally pass some laws to have more of a say to impose restrictions
