Regards lockdowns. Mental health and physical health

are issues. Some people are not going to Drs or hospital when they should because of lockdowns and/or frightened. By the time they do go their conditions have worsened.
With this potential lockdown I believe is slightly different. I have worked in the NHS for over 30 years and never seen staffing issues like we are having now. Just in my department the overtime list is massive. For a while they were paying staff double time as an incentive to get shifts covered. This might have to come back. I was told last week our ICU were 20 nurses down. Staff are being redeployed from one short staffed unit to another. If infections go up and up invariably this will have a knock on effect with staff in the NHS and not only us but everywhere else teachers, supply chain staff etc.
