But meaningfully competing. So mid table, probably flirting with relegation (as all prem teams other than about 6 do) but maybe also flirting with a UEFA spot in a good season.

Palace are a good example as their owner realised he wasn’t wealthy enough to compete so he went and found investment to enable them to do so. They are able to retain their star player, be competitive on wages and beat us today with about 8 players missing.
