It's not like FIFAxx you can't just buy "one of them"; we are resource constrained and a good-enough player may simply not have been get-over-the-lineable at what we could reasonably afford.

Tzolis and Rashica in partciular I think were excellent business, as was Dimi.

Do I wish we had a Skippalike and someone else to keep him on his toes? Yes of course I do - desperately - but I don't think it means the club or anyone within it has been negligent or incompetent. We all know what we wanted to buy; we bought what was available. No club has a 100% success rate at transfers, even expensive ones.

The club is certainly not perfect and certainly makes mistakes but the fact a club as resource-constrained as ours is even in the Prem is incredible. As someone said Down There we're the envy of an awful lot of much richer clubs. We're being screwed by VAR and Ronaldo and getting schooled by Arsenal, not worrying about whether Accrington Stanley are going to get above us on goal difference this week.
