That era of - often gay - synthpop duos was very important, I think.
(I know Bronski Beat were a trio, but it’ll do). Soft Cell, Communards, Yazoo, Pet Shop Boys etc. You could even lump Eurythmics in there as well. Going back to Sparks, Suicide and others, it all changed a lot of attitudes and opened some minds. Shame it wasn’t more.
