Vaccines (well, Pfizer, AZ and Moderna) are from US and UK though.

It's not rational, for sure, but I can understand a distrust of the "West", even if not the vaccines. Plus there's also the desire of any relatively recently formed country to be independent, in some ways.

Not justifying, just trying to understand.
