I just don't agree

We're bottom of the Prem so *any* uptick in form would look a win, even if we still go down.

It provides a global platform for a manager to show what they can do.

I think the 'laughing stock' argument is a salve, we're a decent club with a decent recent rep who have had a poor start to the season having won the division below only six months ago. If you really think the press froth would put off a decent appointment, then fair enough, but I think that's bollocks.
