We look like we're getting someone for whom nicking a survival in the Prem is a career highlight (along with promotion via the playoffs).

He's also notably just failed to get a bunch of new players to gel having lost his team's main creative influence.

Hope he does well, and doesn't seem an awful manager, all I'm trying to say is that I'd hoped we were looking for a manager who was a clear upgrade on Farke.

Smith only ticks the maybe box on that for me.
