Surely Dean Smith could do with a breather
A chance to recharge the batteries and pretty sure most managers that get the sack, lose their compensation to some degree if they remanage within 12 months. Not doubting his credentials but to go from one big job to another even harder, I wouldn’t be going for it. May be if we had been relegated and he had been out of work for six months, but not straight back in. Lampard should be fresh and motivated to hit the ground running.
