Doesn’t sit down with Webber to map out how we think we need to play and what sort of players we need? Doesn’t get to comment on potential targets to give a view on whether they will suit? He doesn’t meet these players to talk to them about how they would fit into the team?

Well I guess you might be right, but really…?

Clearly it’s not in his remit to do the scouting and negotiating etc but this developing narrative that he has no responsibility at all for our signings is equally clearly bollocks.
