I think this run of games coming up is really important

6/7/8 points from those 5 games and we might not be in the bottom three any more; at worst we'll be within a point or two of safety. Yeah this does require a win or two and a substantial uptick in form, but we won't face a friendlier set of five games.

1/2 points from those 5 games and though nothing is impossible in football...

What upset me yesterday wasn't really the result it was the perceived lack of effort. You have to hope for some pride and a big reaction vs Leeds.

If they're still not trying after this next run of games then I think Farke's position becomes incredibly difficult. At this point I think he could still turn it round. I do think the tactics have been questionable but he's shown willingness to adapt and I think he will adapt again.

It's not that many weeks since everyone was praising the continuing Webberlution, was delighted at Vier Mehr Years, was impressed at our transfer window, having broken the club record a number of times and strengthened, on paper at least, all over the pitch. Players like Rashica, Tzolis and Kabak were gems others had noticed, PLM looked a real steal and we all love Storminn. And I still think Dimi is better than Williams.

All the love at the start of the season was probably overreaction one way; we're now seeing overreaction the other way. I don't like conflating stats from two years ago with this season - this season's stats are bad enough, honestly, and it wipes a dominant season in the chumps off the books entirely. We've had a tough set of fixtures but haven't shown up as we'd have liked to in the more winnable games - disrupted pre-season will play into that, but decreasingly as the season goes on; the psychological effect of losing, losing, losing will also be taking a toll.

I don't like the constant implications of negligence or even corruption - of all clubs at our level we're probably the least open to that charge. I think the narrative should be about the distortion caused by sportswashing - Newcastle the most egregious but in another sense only the logical conclusion of some of the others deemed "fit and proper" - not the "naivety" of the Norwich Way.

All that is what it is and none of us can really change any of it. I think at the end of this next run of games we'll have a clearer view and decisions will either be made or not made. If we lose against Leeds with another no-show then the fan pressure might become too much anyway; but I tend to think we play the next 4/5 and see where things sit. I don't want a change but if we are going to make one then before Christmas would be the time to do it.

I still hope it doesn't come to that - I'd like Farke to stay long-term.
