If he's really busted a gut he could have been next to Salah to pressure that touch on the first goal.

Same for the second goal he didn't get anywhere near Mane and also stopped when he could have been in position to clear ahead of Firminho

This isn't me s**tting on Billy, but I don't think Todd would have been worse.

And equally I've not suggest either was being a defensive screen. I suggested a triangle of the three in midfield with Todd ahead and so Rupp and PLM should be defending more.

Look our midfield options don't feel great after tonight. But I see Todd as a midfielder and don't want him used wide left any more in a 433.
