Yeah just to clarify myself and to add to Loz's comment....

I don't like typing this and MJB can ask Ben to remove but... From Michael Baileys article titled "Norwich eye a centre-back, full-back, Skipp replacement - and will take inspiration from Burnley" published on The Athletic 26th May.

The key phrases where I take my understanding of the budget are:

1) 'Let’s start with that 2019 off-season as a comparison.
Norwich committed to a summer spend of £10.9 million on six players.'

2) 'Despite a £30 million COVID-19 hole it is reasonable to expect Norwich to have triple that amount available to spend this time, just for starters. They also expect to break their £10 million transfer record.'

3) 'This is assuming everyone currently on the books stays. If Norwich do make big sales – as they anticipate, with their three most prized assets of Emi Buendia, Max Aarons and Todd Cantwell – then the recruitment budget also increases, although by how much is a moot point.'

4)'The loan signings of centre-back Ben Gibson in September and left-back Dimitris Giannoulis in January were agreed with the Premier League in mind. Promotion triggered permanent moves for both players, costing Norwich a combined £15 million. That amount is not included in this summer’s budget.'

So, if we assume that Mr Bailey has had sources conversations then ignoring Gibson and Giannoulis our budget is around £30m plus £18m (a portion of the Buendia money, 33m initial fee reported... 15 to the covid hole, 18 spare).

So, £48m plus another 15 maybe if we sell Max?
