Re: favourite world cup memory...

My earliest World Cup memory was when Ray Houghton scored for the Rep. of Ireland to beat Italy
1-0 in USA 94 and he did that forward roll thing to celebrate, class.
Also i remember Jack Charlton on the sidelines throwing his arms about at another Ireland game in the same World Cup because his players weren't getting enough water in the hot conditions. Then there was Maradona scoring his last World Cup goal and then a few days later being sent home in disgrace for taking drugs.
I remember a lot from that world cup as it was my first one,i especially remember how awful the final was and how i luckily missed a fair chunk of it as my family and i were stuck on the motorway, lol.

If were talking about England memories, then Owen's goal v the Argies in 98' would have to be my no. 1 moment.
