Hospitalisations run about 3 weeks behind infections. 3 weeks ago infections were on a 7 day average of around 3500, this has now trebled and is rising.

You are right you do need to look beyond the case numbers and are best avoiding what certain press and government are saying.

Interestingly schools received guidance at the weekend about preparing for more online learning. Experience tells us to not prepare for what they say out loud to the public sadly.

Hope beyond hope that this does settle down but the figures really are not looking pretty and some way away from the rosy picture Johnson appears to be trying to portray.
